SYRACUSE, N.Y., February 6, 2007 - Cooper Crouse-Hinds® announces enhancements to its Commercial Products package, providing customers with the electrical industry's most extensive line of weatherproof products, which includes outlet boxes and covers, vapor proof lighting and lamp holders, cast enclosures and accessories, area lighting, floodlights, wall packs, conduit outlet bodies, and service entrance elbows and caps.

Designed to withstand the harshest outdoor environments, the new weatherproof line gives distributors and commercial contractors a one-stop source for dependable electrical products for severe-weather outdoor applications.

"Our new weatherproof products reinforce Cooper Crouse-Hinds' commitment to product innovation, longevity and performance, and addresses our customers' needs for product durability in extreme environments and climates," said Thomas McCarron, vice president of sales and marketing, Commercial Products, Cooper Crouse Hinds. "Our broad offering of weatherproof products further underscores Cooper Crouse-Hinds' strong commitment to serving the commercial marketplace."

Cooper Crouse-Hinds' weatherproof products protect wiring devices, switches, electronic components, and terminal blocks in dry, damp and wet locations. Many of the products feature rugged continuous and seamless die-cast construction, which prevents the entry of dirt, dust and moisture. A number of products include epoxy powder coat finish applications for uniform cosmetic coating, corrosion resistance and weatherproof durability. The weatherproof line also features vapor proof lighting fixtures engineered to withstand the deteriorating effects of ice, corrosive fumes and non-explosive vapors.

Weatherproof boxes and covers, as well as lighting fixtures, are UL Listed and suitable for wet locations. To make installation convenient and trouble-free, weatherproof products are shipped with all of the necessary protective gaskets, plugs and screws.
