Sanyo Denki Adds Compact, Energy-Saving GV-Type Cooling Fan Motor with High Airflow and Low Noise
TORRANCE, Calif., August 24, 2005 - Sanyo Denki, a leading provider of high-quality fan motors, has added a GV-type series to its popular San Ace 40 family of compact DC cooling fan motors. Available in 12-volt G- and J-speed models, the new San Ace 40GV measures only 40 millimeters (1.57 inches) square by 28 millimeters (1.1 inches) thick, making it ideal for use in 1U server units, data storage systems, copy machines, communications equipment, power supplies, and a variety of industrial equipment.
The San Ace 40GV's innovative new design increases maximum airflow by as much as 15% over its predecessor (0.68 m3/min, 24 CFM, 330 Pa/1.32 inH2O max.) while consuming 15% less power (7.2 watts). In addition, an advanced impeller and frame design allows the motor to operate 3dB quieter than its competition. Coupled with its advanced performance features, the San Ace 40 GV's design makes it a leader in quality and reliability, with an L10 life expectancy of 40,000 hours at 60ºC. The new cooling fan motor is also RoHS compliant.
Optional features on the San Ace 40GV include tachometer sensor and lock rotor sensor outputs, as well as PWM (pulse-width-modulation) control, which permits the fan's rotational speed to be widely and accurately controlled in order to attenuate noise and power consumption.
