New Conveyors Feature Roller Knife Edge Design
Can Transfer Product Without a Transfer Plate
CLEVELAND, OH-June 6, 2002-ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc., has announced the availability of conveyors with a new roller knife edge design. The feature permits the direct transfer of items from one conveyor to another without a transfer plate. It does this with less friction and consequently greater belt life than traditional (non-roller) knife edge conveyors.
The roller knife edge feature is available as an option for two series of conveyors for light part assembly from ASG, the CSK "slimline" - which contains its motor within its frame - and the CSJ series of extruded aluminum frame conveyors. Standard belt widths range from 30 to 200mm; belt lengths between pulleys are from 500mm to 2000mm. Standard speeds are from 1.3m/min. to 18.8m/min.
Custom lengths and speeds are also available, as are units with adjustable inclines or 90° directional change options. Knife-edge designs are available. All conveyors are delivered as a complete package, including motors and drives (AC or DC, fixed or variable speed).
The complete ASG Automation line includes conveyors, slides, grippers, pick & place units, rotary actuators and modular vacuum components.
