Original Press Release:

Vacuum Option Now Available on Dorner's 3200 Series Conveyors

HARTLAND, Wis., (March 28, 2003) - Dorner Manufacturing Corporation is now offering vacuum options to its 3200 Series conveyors.

Because all of Dorner's conveyors are made-to-order, building a 3200 Series vacuum conveyor or making other special modifications to one of its six conveyor platforms for a customer is a breeze.

When applications call for a conveyor with a vacuum option, Dorner engineers modify a 3200 Series conveyor by enclosing the bottom of the conveyor's frame, which creates a chamber. They then add a port to the side of the frame for the vacuum source. The conveyor's belt is perforated to allow air to flow through the belt, thus creating the vacuum force on the belt surface.

Ideal applications for the 3200 Series vacuum conveyors include:

o Securing parts on an inclined 3200 Series.

o Holding parts securely to the belt for critical applications such as inspection, assembly and accurate feeding.

o Maintaining control of flimsy parts or material in transit.

Even with the vacuum option, these 3200 Series conveyors still offer all the existing features and benefits of the original 3200 Series, such as:

o Belt speeds of up to 421 feet per minute.

o Widths up to 48 inches.

o End and center drive options.

o Conveyor lengths from 4 feet to 30 feet in any 1/8 inch increments.

o V-Guide belt option for enhanced tracking.

o Flat belt, cleated belt and center drive models.

Delivery for 3200 Series vacuum conveyors and related accessories is typically three weeks from final approval.

The 3200 Series vacuum conveyors are another value customers receive in doing business with Dorner and it further enhances the company's commitment to responsiveness.
