Interroll's Universal Rollers Deliver Cost-Effective Design Flexibility

WILMINGTON, N.C. (December 28, 2001) - Designed for maintenance-free reliability and cost savings, Interroll Corp. has developed a series of Universal conveyor rollers. Available with several bearing, tube and shaft options, the Series 1700 Rollers may be selected for use in nearly all conveying applications. Interroll's Universal rollers are equipped with hexagonal or round shafts that may be supplied fixed, spring-loaded, threaded or tapered for quick installation and worry-free maintenance.

"The 1700 Series Universal rollers offer unlimited design flexibility, enabling a multitude of application uses including gravity and powered conveyors, even in food handling and washdown applications," said Conveyor Components Product Manager
Kim Hagan.

Interroll's 1700 Series Universal conveyor rollers offer three bearings styles, all of which are sealed against dust and dirt for consistent, smooth operation. Bearing housings are manufactured from shock absorbing nylon with radiused ends for smooth, effortless conveying. Commercial grade bearings may be specified for low speed applications where cost-savings is a concern. Precision bearings are often chosen for high-speed,
high-volume applications where noise reduction is important. Stainless steel bearings are also available for corrosion resistance commonly required in food handling or washdown applications.

Tubes are available in 1.90", 2.50", 3.15" and 3.50" diameters for a variety of applications. Steel and PVC tubes are also available in most sizes.
