Conveyor offers 5-ton transport capability.

Press Release Summary:

Able to move stacks of steel sheet or small loads to 18 in. long, CDLR (chain-driven, live roller) conveyor employs staggered-sprocket design that features 3.5 in. dia rollers close-spaced on 4.88 in. centers. It is made up of independent zones powered by 3 hp drives and photoelectric sensors for load position sensing. Heavy-duty system, supported by welded structural steel frame, can be adapted to match unique conveying needs.

Alba's New CDLR Conveyor Fills Gap in Mixed Load Transport, Offering 5-ton Transport Capability While Still Handling Short Loads

Conveyor reliably moves stacks of steel sheet or small loads to 18 in. long, thanks to heavy, closely spaced rollers

November 2003 - Alba Manufacturing fills the gap in mixed size part transport with unique CDLR (chain-driven, live roller) conveyor design that offers 5-ton capacity while still handling loads as short at 18 in. Conveyor rollers for heavy loads typically have spacing that is too wide to convey small loads. Thanks to an innovative staggered-sprocket design that features stout 3.5-in.-diameter rollers close-spaced on 4.88 in. centers, the CDLR can securely transport parts small and narrow (down to 18-in. in feed direction) to wide and heavy, with 44 in. effective conveyor width and 10,000 lb. live load capacity. The tough, every-roller-driven CDLR brings around-the-clock reliability and superior versatility to a wide number of conveying applications. Fully customizable, the CDLR is ideal for forgings and castings, steel plate and other heavy parts in steel service centers, as well as palletized product and big and small parts in a variety of industries.

The CDLR is made up of independent zones powered by 3 hp drives and photoelectric sensors for load position sensing. Depending on the load, the conveyor can be designed in a variety of lengths to suit individual applications. Each system is supported by a fully welded structural steel frame, providing a highly rigid and consistently stable base, unlike bolted assemblies that can loosen under vibration and fluctuating thermal conditions.

Like all Alba conveying equipment, the heavy duty CDLR can be adapted to match particular conveying needs.

Alba Manufacturing Inc. designs and manufactures a wide variety of pallet conveyor equipment, including chain, drag chain and gravity conveyors; zero-pressure accumulator conveyors; turntables; and transfer cars. Alba also engineers, manufactures and installs complete turnkey pallet conveyor systems.
