New TS4plus Conveyor Adds Flexibility to Heavy Payload Applications
A complete re-design of TS4plus gives users new choices in pallets, 90 degree transfers, conveying media, stops and lift units.
Bosch Rexroth to show new TS4plus conveyor modules at the Assembly Technology Expo in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, Booth #1605 & 1611 September 28 - 30, 2004.
An all new design of Rexroth's proven TS4plus heavy-duty conveyor can reduce the overall cost of new conveyor systems, while providing additional versatility in system layout. Handling payloads up to 250 kg (550 lbs.), the new TS4plus conveyor system features new pallet styles, new options for lifting, routing and stopping pallets, and a new low-profile design that allows taller products, such as refrigerators and shower stalls, to be assembled at ergonomically-correct heights.
Important new modules include line-mount transverse conveyor modules with steel roller chain conveying media; new, transfer stops that mount directly inside a lift-transfer unit to significantly reduce overall system footprint; and new line-mount lift-position units with fully synchronized lift cylinders for smooth workpiece positioning.
Making all of this possible are new workpiece pallet designs, central to any conveyor system. New options include a new ESD-safe design with low-noise UHMW-PE bumpers with integrated wear strips, and a new lightweight, open-center, extruded aluminum pallet which allows more of the total payload to be dedicated to the product being carried. The new pallets are designed to reduce impact noise to less than 70 dB(A)-even with fully loaded pallets.
Each new module has been designed to optimize the price/performance ratio, and to provide the maximum system layout flexibility. TS4plus also features top conveyor speeds of 18 m/min, which can help users reduce system cycle times even further.
