USB to RS232/RS485 Converter

OTEK's new model USB Converter allows the interface of any RS232 or 485 equipment with any USB port, without the need for an external power supply. The USB draws its power from the USB port and since the connectors match any existing PC DB9, the USB simply plugs to the DB9 on the existing equipment requiring only one cable (type A to type B) for the USB end. For RS485 the USB comes with screw terminal connector.

The unit is supplied in modular form (no housing); the board is conformally coated. Set-up software can be downloaded (no charge) from www.otekcorp.com/software.htm. Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Mac OS-9 and MAC OS-X compatible to 12mB. Ideal for applications such as upgrade legacy peripherals, microcontrollers to USB, OTEK's HiQ and TR wireless series to USB, games and instruments to USB, etc. Lists at $49.00.
