Systems Integrator to Join Forces with Leader in Unified Communications
ST. PAUL, Minn., July 11 / -- Convergent Solutions Group, a professional services firm based in St. Paul, Minnesota, today announced they have entered into an agreement with Mitel Networks to provide systems integration services for Mitel and its channel partners deploying unified communications and unified messaging solutions. The strategic alliance was announced at the Mitel Forum Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Teaming up with Microsoft, as well as our current partner base, has provided a powerful foundation for the Mitel solution already. With Convergent in the mix we'll add even more value to our customers in terms of experience and knowledge."
Convergent and Mitel recently worked together to deploy a unified communications solution at a national law firm in Minneapolis, and Mitel customer. The result is a fully integrated Mitel/Microsoft production pilot that provides a more robust, reliable solution for the client's demanding environment. The new alliance between Convergent and Mitel will help deliver similar rapid implementations for Mitel solutions within Microsoft environments. Convergent will assist with Mitel Live Business Gateway integration into Microsoft® unified communications and Microsoft Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging deployments. In addition, Convergent offers system integration and review, unified communication design and infrastructure assessments.
"Unified communications is breakthrough technology for businesses that has the potential of being one of the biggest productivity boosts we've seen in the information industry in a long time," said Douglas Splinter, Convergent's Chief Technology Officer. A former Technical Strategist at Novell, Splinter was recently hired by Convergent to lead their unified communications practice.
