New Pass-Through Feature on the Despatch LBB Oven Improves Product Throughput

MINNEAPOLIS - January 17, 2003 -Front and back doors on the new Despatch LBB Pass-Through Forced Convection Bench-Top Oven allow users to seamlessly integrate it into nearly any laboratory or production work cell. The oven's pass-through design helps to increase throughout by maintaining a continuous flow of products through a variety of thermal processing applications.

"Currently, the LBB oven is used for everything from carbon fiber curing to plastic annealing and drying of ophthalmic lenses." said Hans Melgaard, vice president of Despatch. "But its rugged design, superior temperature uniformity and maintenance-free construction make it an ideal choice for any number of general industrial applications."

Available in temperatures up to 204° C (400° F), the LBB uses a combination of horizontal and vertical recirculated air to ensure uniform temperatures throughout the chamber. Powerful open coil heating elements and a forward curved fan deliver faster heat-up rates and shorter processing times, and digital controls regulate oven temperature within tight tolerances.

Temperatures, which can be reported in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, are displayed in large, bright, easy-to-read numbers on the ¾-inch LED panel, located on the front of the oven. Designed to provide years of dependable service, each oven is thoroughly tested before shipping and comes standard with a five-year heater warranty - the longest in the industry.

The LBB oven is available with chamber volumes of either 18 or 27 cubic feet (510 or 765 liters) to handle a wide variety of process and product sizes. The corrosion-resistant stainless steel interior and nickel-plated shelves clean up easily. Standard shelves hold up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and optional reinforced shelves can hold loads up to 200 lbs (91 kg). Built-in shelf supports make it easy to change shelf locations.
