Original Press Release:

New DC Pattern Controller

Spraymation, Inc. introduces the new 3400 Series DC Pattern Controller suitable for use with heated and non-heated Electromatic Applicator Heads, or solenoid valves. The 3400 Series provides precise dispensing, exactly where you want it, at high speed. The Controller may be configured in either real time or shaft encoded based with extreme accuracy, adjustable in "0.1" millisecond, "0.01" inch or "0.1" millimeter increments.

All 3400 Series Units feature keyboard programming and include four (4) independent channels for complex timing applications. The display features an 8 line by 18 character LCD of all settings and allows storing of 26 separate sets of programming data, which is beneficial on machines that have a number of different setups or products. The Controller includes a numeric password system, to prevent tampering, and a stitching option.

Shaft Encoded models provide for "speed compensation" resulting in the uniform length and location of the material being dispensed, at varying operating speeds, without the necessity of operator adjustment of the controller presets when speeds change. The Shaft Encoder is also used with the optional Run-Up Controller to automatically adjust pressure to ensure that the same amount of material is dispensed during web speed changes.

Standard models are available for use with 120 VAC or 24 VDC applicator head coils. Units are capable of receiving various actuation signals, including passive contact, 10 - 24 VDC, and open collector, for operation of heads or solenoids. All Controllers are supplied in gasketed steel enclosures complete with Auto/Off/Test switches for each applicator head, Power On/Off switch with Power On light. A source of 120 VAC or 240 VAC power is required for operation.
