Renesas Technology Releases LCD Controller/Driver for Digital Still Camera TFT LCD
Tokyo - On April 11, Renesas Technology announced the release of the R61201 single-chip LCD controller/driver for amorphous silicon TFT color liquid crystal panels used in digital still cameras.
This chip supports a maximum display size of 561x240 dots and display in 16.77 million colors in both delta and stripe RGB arrangements.
The R61201 has a digital interface to display imaging data without degradation and achieves a power consumption of 20mW or less.
Renesas plans to launch volume production in May.
