New Line of Cage-Type Control Valves Introduced
BLYTHEWOOD, SC -- Spirax Sarco, Inc., introduces C Series control valves in sizes from 1" to 8" (DN25 to 200) with valve plug closure to ANSI class IV, V and VI. Offering pressure ratings conforming to ANSI 300 and ANSI 600, the valve is available in carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel body materials for wide-ranging application versatility.
Cage-type C Series valves conform to the requirements laid down by ANSI B 16.34 and ASME VIII. Modular design enables a single valve envelope to answer a variety of control applications. The cage-guided balanced plug is designed to provide precise control over high differential pressures. One-, two- and three-stage designs are available to minimize cavitation and aerodynamic noise. Cage-retained internals can be serviced with the valve in-line.
The C Series has highly repeatable and easily adjustable single-spring actuation. Various spring ratings are available for signal and process matching. Control action can be field-reversed between "spring extend" to "spring retract" without the need for special tools. Springs can be changed out without opening the diaphragm chamber.
The valve stem and cage has a highly polished finish for sure sealing and long life of the stem seals and plug sealing rings. Wiper rings help prevent stem seal damage caused by particle buildup. An anti-rotation device helps prevent damage to the valve seat, bellows and diaphragm. The valve stroke is limited by the actuator, preventing over-stressing of the valve stem. The balanced plug has a standard, energized, PTFE sealing ring, with optional precision-cut graphite rings for high temperature applications.
Industry standard connections include flanged ANSI or DIN, RF (raised face) or RTJ (ring type), socket weld 1" to 2" (DN25 to DN50) and butt weld 2" to 8" (DN50 to DN200). A NAMUR mounting accepts industry standard positioners and accessories. A complete range of accessories includes traditional valve positioners, digital valve positioners and air conditioning sets.
