Detent-Action Instrument and Control Switches for Utilities

WEYMOUTH, MA - Electroswitch introduces its complete line of detent-action Instrument and Control Switches designed to meet the demands of the electric power industry.

Configurable for specific applications, Electroswitch detent switches are available in two basic models: Series 24 and Series 31. Both feature double-wiping, silver-plated contacts for long life and terminal screws for easy installation. Instrument Switches have "make-before-break" (shorting) contacts, a positive positioning detent mechanism, and a common input tap switch arrangement that allows sequential connection to several lines using the same switching deck. Control Switches feature spring return to normal (vertical) position.

Series 24 Switches are rated for 30 amps @ 600 volts. Additional Control Switch features include multi-pole contact arrangements, a mechanical red/green target, slip contacts for "normal after" applications, and a pull-to-lock mechanism for safety lockout. Pre-configured, application-specific Series 24 models include a variety of Voltmeter Transfer Switches, Ammeter Transfer switches, Wattmeter Transfer Switches, and Circuit Breaker Control Switches. Three-hole mounting is standard.

Series 31 Switches are rated for 15 amps @ 600 volts. Additionally, Instrument Switches feature pre-wired jumpers. Pre-configured, application-specific Series 31 models include Voltmeter Transfer Switches, a Power Factor Switch, a Motor Control Switch, and a Temperature Meter Transfer Switch. Four-hole mounting is standard, but single-hole mounting is available. Prices start at $20 with delivery quoted at no more than two weeks ARO.

All Electroswitch Instrument and Control Switches are available with built-in coil monitoring and fault signal detection indication; the standard nameplate includes a mechanical target (black for reset, orange for trip). They are also available with the Electroswitch "Smart" Lighted Nameplate, which incorporates up to three target LEDs and two output contacts into a traditional nameplate footprint.
