New Panel Controls Multiple Automated Valves Without Need for a Programmable Controller
Hayward's new Universal Control Panel provides cost effective control of up to 25 automated valves without the complexity
and cost of a programmable controller or the confusing maze of wires associated with the use of hardwired relays.
Utilizing the very latest in control relay technology, the Universal Control Panel works equally well with both electrically- or pneumatically-actuated valve systems. The panels are extremely compact, state-of-the-art devices that
serve as multiple timers, counters, clocks and relays. They have the significant advantage of being easily programmed to perform endless combinations of operations - and feature a flexible design that can satisfy virtually any multiple automated valve control application.
Control relay and expansion modules provide numerous control functions including: maximum of 20 digital inputs, maximum of 2 analog inputs, and a maximum of 10 relay outputs rated to 10A resistive (3A ind). Panel functions include 8 timers, 8 counters, 4 real time clocks with four channels per clock and 8
display messages to accommodate the most complex applications.
A standard main power disconnect switch is provided for added safety and a UL 489 circuit breaker allows power to be wired directly to the panel without the need for other circuit breakers or fuses. A clearly marked terminal block makes wiring connections easy to do.
The panel provides an easy to read LCD display that shows circuit diagrams and continuous function updates. Further, it can be readily customized with indicating lights, alarms, interposing relays and selector switches, and is AS-Interface and PROFIBUS compatible.
