Control Indicator Module Is Scada Compatible For Remote Control And Monitoring Of Circuit Breakers
WEYMOUTH, MA - A versatile new Control Indicator Module (CIM) from Electroswitch contains SCADA interface for remote control and monitoring of power circuit breakers and reclosers. Switches on the unit's front panel permit manual control when needed. The unit's RS-485 interface allows the use of DNP 3.0, Modbus, or other compatible communications protocols. A simple 8-bit parallel interface is also available.
The Electroswitch CIM provides a utility a method to control and monitor up to three power circuit breaker trip coils (single, dual, or triple coils). Combining multiple functions in a single, cost-effective unit, it accepts signals from protective relays and can be used online with up to 32 separate computer workstations, printers, etc. Time stamping provides a precise record of recent events.
The CIM's front panel contains red, amber, and green LEDs that indicate breaker trip coil operation, trip signals and their sources, and the status of both the external reclose relay and the interface to SCADA. The unit can be easily incorporated into a new or existing system, as it is compatible with virtually all other electronic or electro-mechanical protective equipment. Available in either a horizontal or vertical configuration, the unit uses less than 13 square inches of panel space.
