Rockwell Automation Introduces New Customer-Defined Definite-Purpose Enclosures
Enclosures priced 30 to 40 percent lower than comparable products
MILWAUKEE, Jan. 27, 2005 - A new line of Allen-Bradley definite-purpose control enclosures from Rockwell Automation is designed to save users considerable installation time due to the enclosure's mounting grid, which acts like a pegboard for mounting the enclosures on machinery. Based on feedback from OEMs, contractors and end users in a variety of industries, the enclosure's mounting grid design eliminates drilling requirements and reduces installation time. Additionally, the enclosures are available at prices that are significantly lower than those of comparable products.
"Customers described the types of enclosures they were using and listed their limitations, and we responded with a product that cost-efficiently meets these needs," said Jeff Depka, product and business development manager, Rockwell Automation. "The enclosures meet our customers' needs for mounting and enclosing electric control components, but are priced about 30 to 40 percent lower than comparable enclosures."
The enclosure line includes:
Allen-Bradley Bulletin 598 general-purpose enclosures, available in 11 sizes from 130 mm x 80 mm x 85 mm (5.12 in. x 3.15 in. x 3.35 in.) up to 560 mm x 380 mm x 180 mm (22 in. x 15 in. x 7 in.);
Bulletin 598 junction-box enclosures, available in six sizes from 90 mm x 70 mm x 51.5 mm (3.54 in. x 2.76 in. x 2.03 in.) up to 190 mm x 190 mm x 130 mm (8 in. x 8 in. x 5 in.);
Bulletin 800H push-button enclosures, which extend the current line of 800T/800H push-button enclosures. Designed to house 30.5-mm push buttons, these are available in one-, two-, three- and four-hole configurations.
The enclosures are ideal for customers in material handling, HVAC, chemical processing, wastewater treatment, food processing and instrumentation and are equally suitable for on-machine control and packaging applications.
