As the product name indicates, the new set offers the capability of quickly removing paint from a variety of wood contours including crown moldings, balusters, wainscoting, dentil molding, stair rails, and spindles.
This versatile tool is equipped with a set of 6 stainless steel blades, each with a different contour at either end, for a total of 12 shapes. When used with chemical removers, the Contour Scraper clears away the resulting sludge easily and thoroughly from even the most intricately carved moldings. The new scraper can be used dry as well, but, obviously, more muscle and added care must be used.
The feather-soft Santoprene handle which ends the user problem of sore, blistered or reddened hands offers a bonus to its comfortable grip: a half round, mini-file for blade sharpening, held inside the heel of the handle by a Neodymium magnet.
