Featuring email integration, configurable folder types, enhanced user management and more
Rijswijk, The Netherlands - June 10, 2008 - BlueCielo ECM Solutions, a leading global software company offering Engineering Content Management (ECM) solutions, today announced that it has released InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise 2008 and InnoCielo TeamWork 2008. The newest versions of both software products feature easy user management, Microsoft Outlook integration, a powerful Data Import Tool and support for the latest CAD software versions. BlueCielo's flagship software InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise 2008 also includes configurable Folder Types and offers the brand-new InnoCielo Email Manager module.
The 2008 versions of InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise and InnoCielo TeamWork provide the capability to define users and groups in combination with Microsoft Active Directory, facilitating integration in large enterprises. Users and user groups can both be replicated from corporate user data present in Microsoft Active Directory and can be created directly in the InnoCielo Administrator utility without burdening corporate user administration resources.
A new toolbar inside Microsoft Outlook enables storing email messages and their attachments directly into the InnoCielo vault, and the new Data Import Tool allows the easy importing of batches of documents and their metadata by the InnoCielo user. Furthermore InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise and InnoCielo TeamWork are made compliant with the Autodesk 2009 family, SolidWorks 2008, MicroStation version 8 and Office 2007.
Specifically for InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise, the 2008 version offers Folder Types. Folder Types offers configurable property pages, wizards and commands on folders in the Meridian Enterprise vault. The properties of folders are inherited by the documents they contain, even in lower levels of the Explorer folder structure. Folder Types can be used to organize documents in intelligent groups. For example: all assets related documentation can be stored in an asset folder, or Folder Types can be used for projects, where project-related documents are grouped in a project folder.
In InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise 2008, Microsoft Outlook integration is accompanied by the new InnoCielo Email Manager module. This module provides automated handling of emails via configurable rule sets. Email messages and their attachments can be automatically classified and stored in the InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise vault. The InnoCielo Email Manager is compatible with all email servers that support the common IMAP protocol, amongst which are Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes.
InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise 2008 will be followed by new versions of the InnoCielo suite of products, such as Global Collaboration Framework 2008, Asset Management 2008, Publisher 2008 and the brand-new InnoCielo Explorer 2008. Soon after, the Advanced Document Workflow module will also be released to bring concurrent project workflow capabilities to InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise. Separate announcements will follow.
