The new tool, known as the Design Your Own Detention System (DYODS®) tool, fully automates the layout process for stormwater detention and infiltration systems. The tool's unique "drag and drop" feature allows users to customize the layout to meet site specific conditions and optimizes the design and layout for cost effectiveness. The tool also provides CAD and PDF files that can be used for creating plans and specs, and for estimating total installed costs. Users of the tool can design multiple systems per project, and save them for future use.
