New T-PAK(TM) MAX3 Pallet from LINPAC Materials Handling Ideal for Food, Beverage, and Pharmaceutical Packaging Handling

GEORGETOWN, KY (August 18, 2004) - LINPAC Materials Handling, manufacturer of high-quality ROPAK(TM) reusable container systems, introduces the new T-PAK(TM) MAX3(TM) container. The returnable, collapsible MAX3 was developed specifically for the packaging industry, with a lighter-weight design that allows manufacturers to maximize payloads to significantly reduce shipping costs. By maximizing both transportation cube efficiency and interior volume capacity, the MAX3 allows for the shipment of up to 20 percent more product. Additionally, the container has been approved by the FDA as meeting sanitary requirements for packaging handling in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

The MAX3 features a 44" x 48" footprint and a 50" height with four-way fork entry. Designed with a non-sequential folding action, the container collapses easily to just 11" in height-a 4.5 to 1 return ratio. Dynamic stacking capacity of the MAX3 is 2-high, while the container can be stacked 5-high in a static warehouse environment. Maximum dynamic capacity is 1000 lb (453.6 kg). Common applications include cosmetic packaging, crowns, metal closures, PET preforms, pharmaceutical packaging, plastic closure moldings, and synthetic cork products.

Constructed of high-impact polypropylene, the MAX3 easily withstands the abuse of multiple return trips. Its rigid sidewalls feature smooth interior surfaces, reducing both dust and damage to contents. The matching lid is an integral component of the container, covering and protecting contents. On the production floor, the MAX3 is compatible with most dumping equipment, easily conforming to current manufacturing processes.

"The MAX3 is the most efficient container available for packaging manufacturers who ship lightweight parts," says Frank George, Brand and National Account Manager at LINPAC. "It's unique design allows customers to significantly reduce overall supply chain costs by maximizing efficiency in key cost component areas such as shipping, warehousing, labor, and hygiene."

The MAX3 container is RFID-ready and, as with all LINPAC Materials Handling products, its workmanship and materials are guaranteed with a three-year warranty. The MAX3 container may also be recycled at the end of its useful life. LINPAC Materials Handling also offers a variety of logistics solutions to help customers better manage their handling and transportation needs.
