Original Press Release:

New MAX3(TM) 8844 Container from LINPAC Materials Handling Ideal for Secure Transport and Storage of Large Quantities

GEORGETOWN, KY (September 29, 2005) - LINPAC Materials Handling, manufacturer of high-quality ROPAK(TM) reusable container systems, introduces the new MAX3(TM) 8844 container. Featuring rigid, sidewalls and a one-piece molded base with wood flooring, the MAX3 8844 was developed specifically to handle both storage and shipping of larger quantities of finished products, including stacks and bundles of small parts and packages. The container can also be compartmentalized with up to three tiers of interior shelving for efficient organization.

The MAX3 8844 features an 88" x 44" footprint and a 100" height with four-way fork entry. Designed to cube out a 48' trailer with 12 containers, or a 53' trailer with 14 containers, each MAX3 8844 can hold up to 3000 lbs (1361 kg) of cargo. When empty, the containers can be stacked 3-high; when loaded, the containers can be stacked 2-high. Weighing in at 450 lbs (204 kg), the MAX3 8844 offers 190 cubic feet (5.38 cubic meters) of storage volume.

Constructed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the MAX3 8844 easily withstands the abuse of multiple return trips. Its rigid sidewalls feature smooth interior surfaces, reducing both dust and damage to contents. To access contents, users must remove one of the 44" sidewalls, which can be secured with strapping or locks to reduce the risk of tampering. The sidewalls are easily assembled when the container is needed, and just as easily disassembled when the container is empty for compact return shipment. The container is also water resistant, providing additional product protection.

"The MAX3 8844 was designed in response to several requests from customers for a larger footprint, taller container capable of handling more parts and finished goods," says Hugo Ramos, Project Engineer at LINPAC. "Its stackable, reusable design allows customers to maximize efficiency in key areas including warehousing and transport, significantly reducing overall supply chain costs."

The MAX3 8844 container is RFID-ready and, as with all LINPAC Materials Handling products, may be recycled at the end of its useful life. LINPAC Materials Handling also offers a variety of logistics solutions to help customers better manage their handling and transportation needs.
