ACG Launches Unique Contactless Reader with Multiple ISO Protocol Compatibility

Support for ISO 14443A/B, ISO 15693, ISO 18000-3 and I-CODE, all in one module

Walluf, 08.11.2005 - ACG Identification Technologies, a leading component and technology supplier in the smart card and RFID markets, announces today the launch of its new HF Multi ISO Reader platform. This new family of high-speed 13.56 MHz RFID readers features exceptionally broad support for different transmission protocols and transponder ICs. It is designed to meet the requirements for both secure personal identity verification and supply chain management applications. Typical applications of the HF Multi ISO Reader platform include access control, e-payment, e-ticketing for events and mass transit, toll road fare collection, network authentication, logistics and supply chain management.

The ACG HF Multi ISO Reader provides state-of-the-art security features needed for advanced contactless user authentication applications based on high data storage capacity microcontroller cards. Optimized data throughput rates allow the total time required for contactless transactions to be minimized. This is a must in identity verification applications - such as access control, public transportation and event management - where user convenience is a top priority.

The HF Multi ISO Reader also boasts the highest level of interoperability on the market, with support for ISO14443A/B, ISO 15693, ISO 18000-3 and I-CODE protocols. This broad interoperability allows the reader to be used in item identification applications, such as those typically found in the manufacturing, distribution and retail environments. This makes ACG's reader the ideal choice for combined item identification and user authentication applications.

ACG's Multi ISO reader is available in five versions: an OEM module, compact Plug & Play modules with RS232 or RS422/485, a short range Plug & Play module with USB 2.0 and a plug-in module for mobile devices.
