The Flexible Solution for Connection of Electrical Devices
Germantown, WI, September 2003 - The new 862 Series from WAGO offers the industries most flexible solution for connection of electrical devices and equipment. This new series was specifically designed as a cost-effective alternative, with flexible options, to traditional chassis mount terminal blocks such as barrier strips and terminal strips.
"The 862 Series offers a refreshingly new approach to chassis mounted terminal blocks," explains Jim Bachle, Electrical Product Manager at WAGO. "Design Engineers now gain flexible options to mounting, marking, wiring, grounding, and testing that were not previously available to them from the more traditional style of terminal strip."
Flexible options available in this new series include; 1) fast and flexible mounting via snap-in mounting feet or self tapping screw, 2) flexible marking with pre marked versions, custom marking, or write/print on marker strips, 3) four connections points per pole for wiring of different gauge conductors, power distribution, or daisy chaining, 4) built-in test points for hands free testing, and 5) integrated ground contact for automatic grounding to the chassis.
As an added benefit, the 862 Series utilizes the new CAGE CLAMP®S (patent # 5,975,940) spring pressure connection technology, which allows solid wire or stranded wire with ferrules to be easily terminated by simply pushing the wire into the contact. In addition, an integrated push-button, with molded-in slots, accommodates fast and easy wiring of all wire types - either by hand or with a standard slotted tip or Phillips screwdriver.
