Duraline Introduces Firepower Systems

"Portable Power with Safety in Mind" Duraline®, a leading manufacturer of lighting streamers and other electrical power distribution systems for over 50 years, introduces its Fire Power Systems connectors, plugs, etc. Designed to enhance GFI safety and provide safe electrical power, Fire Power Systems have been specifically engineered to withstand rough conditions, severe service situations and weather environments. The systems can be customized for specific applications, such as emergency power, temporary lighting, electrical machinery and controls. Duraline's Fire Power Systems are specifically intended to provide temporary power to equipment used by firefighting and emergency rescue services, such as for lighting systems and exhaust ventilation fans. FMRC approval requirements were developed as part of this testing program with review stages by Duraline and two firefighting companies. For the applications intended, Fire Power Systems' component materials meet or exceed the highest standards and specifications, as well as applicable NEC and OSHA safety standards and regulations. When fully mated, Duraline's Fire Power Systems are water-tight and can block the intake of water when submerged in up to six feet of water. They also prevent water from reaching electrical contact areas when subjected to high water pressure. While most conventional connectors would be crushed by the weight of an emergency vehicle, Duraline's Fire Power Systems are crush-proof and designed to remain intact under such circumstances. Duraline, a division of J.B. Nottingham & Co., Inc., is a leading manufacturer of safety engineered electrical power distribution systems designed to withstand rough handling and severe weather conditions. Established in 1946 as a supplier of heat-treating distribution systems to the US Navy, Duraline's principle offices and manufacturing facilities are located in Deland, Florida. Duraline sells and services its specially engineered systems throughout the United States and Canada.
