Samtec's High Speed QEM8/QEF8 Series
Samtec's newest High Speed connector system is now available. The QEM8/QEF8 connector set is the third generation of our popular Q Series(TM) products. These products combine an integral metal ground plane with our unique Edge Rate contact system for superior impedance control and reduced broadside coupling and cross talk for improved signal integrity performance. The QEM8/QEF8 is footprint compatible with Samtec's popular QTE/QSE Series; this provides a higher speed, more rugged connector, but does not require a PCB redesign. The Edge Rate contacts are designed to withstand "zippering" when unmated and are ideal for rugged, high speed applications.
