Wieland Provides Data Cable Feed-Through Connector for IT Applications
BURGAW, N.C. (December 3, 2002) - Wieland Electric Inc. introduced the IT data cable feed-through connector to its Multipole family of industrial connectors. Designated the revos IT connector, is designed for quick installation of pre-assembled information technology (IT) cables into panels or control cabinets. Each connector consists of a hood and housing with double-locking levers that provide IP 65 protection.
"Because the revos IT connector is typically mounted during panel design, installers may simply feed pre-assembled cables through the hood and housing with a snap-and-lock method that doesn't require special tools, on-site cutting or mounting," said Wieland Product Manager, Robert Ourt. "In addition, because the integrity of the pre-assembled cables is maintained, there is no risk of compromising cable supplier warranties."
Wieland's revos IT data cable feed-through connector is available in 2,3 and 4 cable feed-through capacity in 10, 16 or 24 pole configurations. Housings are manufactured of die cast aluminum alloy. Oil resistant and anti-aging neoprene gaskets are supplied for superior seals. Each connector is temperature rated -40ºC to +100ºC.
