ID-Module Provides for Storage of Machine Operating Parameters within Industrial Connectors
Elgin, IL - HARTING, Inc. is pleased to introduce the new Han® ID-Module. This module is an addition to the Han-Modular® series from HARTING and contains integrated electronics including an E2PROM with a data storage capacity of 128 Bytes. The new module provides non-volatile memory for decentralized storage of process parameters and coding of machine parts directly within the industrial connector located on the machine. Communication with the ID-Module can be achieved with a standard digital 24V I/O unit using the I²C-bus protocol. The ID-Module is operated and programmed via a standard PLC and can be combined with all modules of the Han-Modular series within an industrial connector.
