Conical Horn Antennas feature frequency range of 4-26.5 GHz.

Press Release Summary:

With gain of 16-25 dBi, Series 3163 Antennas are designed for use as feeds in tapered anechoic chambers, as well as in applications requiring high gain and linear polarization. Design allows for rotation inside conical feed sections when back-mounted and attached to rotator at feed of tapered chamber. Individually calibrated at 3 m per ANSI C63.5, Series includes C-band Model 3163-03, X-band Model 3163-04, Ku-band Model 3163-05, and K-band Model 3163-06.

High Gain Conical Horn Antennas Now Available from ETS-Lindgren

CEDAR PARK, Texas, - ETS-Lindgren announced the availability of its new Model 3163 series conical horns antennas with a frequency range of 4 GHz to 26.5 GHz. These antennas are designed for use as feeds in tapered anechoic chambers, as well as in applications requiring high gain and linear polarization. They offer improved reflectivity levels in the Quiet Zone (QZ) of tapered chambers, with low VSWR across their frequency range. The high gain provided is impressive - over 16 dBi and up to 25 dBi. Adding to their flexibility, the 3163 series antennas can be mounted directly into the feed section of a tapered anechoic chamber, or mounted to a tripod and used in a rectangular chamber.

"We designed this series of antennas to include four horns: Models 3163-03 (C band), 3163-04 (X band), 3163-05 (Ku band) and 3163-06 (K band), that conveniently cover a wide frequency range of 4 GHz to 26.5 GHz," said Dr. Vince Rodriguez, ETS-Lindgren's Senior Principal Antenna Design Engineer. "We chose a conical shape so the antennas can be perfectly fitted to the feed section of tapered chambers. When back-mounted and attached to a rotator at the feed of the tapered chamber, the design allows for rotation inside the conical feed sections. We flared the angles for easy positioning along the feed section to obtain the best possible illumination of the Quiet Zone (QZ)," he added.

The Model 3163 antennas are individually calibrated at 3 meters per ANSI C63.5. Actual antenna factors, gain uncertainty values, and a signed Certificate of Calibration Conformance are included with a manual provided with each shipment.
