Bannockburn, Illinois. Leica Microsystems has released LCS MicroLab to support biological and medical researchers' need to analyze molecular interactions. LCS MicroLab is the first module of the Analytical Biology Software Suite for Leica Confocal Microscopes.

This "Laboratory in a Microscope" provides easy-to-use application wizards covering FRAP (Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching) methods and FRET (Fluorescence Resonant Energy Transfer) applications, Sensitized Emission (SE), and Acceptor Bleaching (AB).

These methods enable the researcher to acquire detailed insight into molecular distances, interactions, and diffusion processes. The user is guided interactively throughout the experiment and includes final results in a report. With Leica's new software application, even complex routines can be reproduced with unprecedented ease.
