Greenlee' Makes Conduit Cutting Easy

Patented cutting wheel cuts clean and eliminates the need to debur inside the conduit.

ROCKFORD, Ill. -The new Greenlee 8600 conduit cutter eliminates the need to debur the inside of conduit after it is cut. The 8600 is used to cut 1/2" and 3/4" EMT electrical conduit in residences, industrial plants, offices, and other commercial buildings.

"Although the 8600 may look like other tubing cutters," said Jim Eisele, product manger. "It has a unique patented cutting wheel with a shoulder that prevents it from cutting completely through the conduit wall."

The 8600 conduit cutter is used like other tubing cutters--alternately tighten the cutter wheel and turn the cutter around the conduit. When the cut is deep enough to reach the shoulder on the cutter wheel, remove the cutter and then simply snap the conduit into two pieces. Because the cutter wheel won't penetrate the conduit wall, no burr is created. The 8600 is also the perfect tool to cut conduit that already has wire installed, because the cutter wheel will never penetrate the conduit wall and accidentally damage wire insulation.

The 8600 conduit cutter is made with a heavy-duty cast body for long life. The large smooth spindle knob is easy to grip and doesn't hurt your hand. The cutter wheel is also replaceable.
