O-Z/Gedney Ground-Tite Connectors Integrate Grounding Lug for High Ground Fault Withstand Capability

SKOKIE, IL, January 9, 2003 With its Ground-Tite Grounding Liquidtight Connectors, O-Z Gedney is providing electrical contractors with a fast, simple way to connect conduit while also terminating a bonding conductor in one step.

Designed for use with liguidtight flexible metal conduit, O-Z/Gedney's innovative Ground-Tite connectors have a grounding lug cast as an integral part of the malleable iron gland nut to assure high ground fault withstand capability. The lugs are used to easily, safely and conveniently terminate a bonding conductor run externally across liquidtight conduit, according to UL and CSA requirements.

Ground-Tite connectors are made for fast installation thanks to their slim, compact design that allows for a small turning radius, and their tapered threaded male hub NPT. The installation process is also made easier because the connectors come furnished with a locknut and sealing ring. The connector's long ferrule prevents pull-out and pop-out, a common occurance with tight bend conduit. Windows in the ferrule allow the contractor to inspect for full engagement.

Ruggedly-built Ground-Tite connectors feature a malleable iron body and gland nut, along with and a steel, zinc-plated ferrule. They are available in 45 degree and 90 degree models in trade sizes ranging from 3/8-inch to 5 inches, as well as a straight design available from 3/8-inch to 6-inches.
