Appleton FM7(TM) Conduit Bodies, Covers & Gaskets do "Double Duty" with Crouse-Hinds® Components
ROSEMONT, IL, FEBRUARY 2, 2006 - Appleton FM7(TM) Series conduit outlet bodies, covers and gaskets are preferred by electrical contractors for their flat back design that allows for a more secure mounting and expanded wiring room, along with their corrosion-fighting epoxy powder coat finish needed in wet and harsh environments.
Now there is another reason: FM7 components are UL Classified to interchange with equivalent Crouse-Hinds Form 7® bodies, covers and gaskets. This gives contractors more freedom to choose between brands, plus provides greater flexibility in retrofit and maintenance jobs where covers or bodies are being replaced.
Appleton FM7 conduit bodies serve as wire pulling fittings, make bends in a conduit system, provide openings for wire splicing, plus connect and change direction of conduit runs. They also permit access to conductors for maintenance.
