Conductivity/Resistivity Sensors offer choice of output.

Press Release Summary:

Series 2850 Sensors provide 2-wire, 4-20 mA output or S³L digital interface for conductivity/resistivity measurements without local display. Eight 4-20 mA output ranges, plus ability to invert each range, are selectable by user in the field. With S³L digital interface, conductivity and temperature measurement data are available over single set of wires. Sensors include automatic electrode cell constant recognition and automatic temperature compensation.

Original Press Release:

New +GF+ SIGNET 2850 Conductivity/Resistivity Sensors Feature Two-Wire 4 to 20mA Output or S³L Digital Interface for Reduced System Costs

TUSTIN, Calif. - March 18, 2003- George Fischer, Inc. has added the +GF+ SIGNET 2850 Conductivity/Resistivity Sensors to its broad line of analytical monitoring and process control instrumentation. These new sensors are ideally suited for a wide range of industrial applications including water and wastewater treatment, water quality monitoring, reverse osmosis, deionization, and aquatic animal life support systems.

The 2850 provides a choice between two-wire 4 to 20mA output or S³L digital interface for conductivity/resistivity measurements without the expense of local display. Eight 4 to 20mA output ranges, plus the ability to invert each range, are selectable by the user in the field. With the S³L digital interface, conductivity and temperature measurement data are available over a single set of wires.

Compatible with the new 2839-2842 series of DryLoc(TM) Conductivity/Resistivity Electrodes, the 2850 also features automatic electrode cell constant recognition (0.01, 0.10, 1.0 and 10.0), automatic temperature compensation, and with optional EasyCal the 2850 automatically recognizes standard test solutions for simple push-button calibration. The unique and robust DryLoc connector supports the weight and torque required for installation and operation. NEMA 4X junction boxes are standard with the in-line versions and are available as accessories for the submersible versions.

Additionally, the 2850 is compatible with the new +GF+ SIGNET 8900 Multi-Parameter Controller. This controller allows up to four sensor inputs in a cost-effective 1/4 DIN package. Two base units, one with back-lit LCD and the other with a vacuum fluorescent display, can be set-up in the field for AC or DC operation, up to four analog outputs and up to eight relays.
