Concept Controls Introduces New Family of Personal Gas Protection Devices: ToxiRAE

Calgary, Alberta- The exclusive Canadian distributor for RAE Systems, Concept Controls, has recently introduced a new line of personal single-gas monitors-and it's already making waves. Consisting of the ToxiRAE Pro, the ToxiRAE LEL, and the ToxiRAE Pro PID, the new product family is the first of its kind to go wireless. With the resulting increase in response time, each monitor is providing an unparalleled level of safety.

As a personal, toxic gas or oxygen monitor, the ToxiRAE Pro offers far more than wireless access. In addition to real-time readings and alarm status notifications, the ToxiRAE Pro supports multiple gases, such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and more. It is available with more than 20 intelligent and interchangeable gas sensors, each of which can store calibration levels. Easy to use and maintain, the ToxiRAE Pro lets users control threat data wirelessly, through real-time information, for dependable and immediate responses. Along with the ToxiRAE LEL, it has the largest backlit display case in its class, which is easy to read even in direct sunlight.

With many of the same features as the ToxiRAE Pro, the ToxiRAE LEL for combustible gases and vapors offers continuous data logging: up to 3 months of detailed user history can be downloaded to a PC for further analysis. An extensive online library stores 34 correction factors, and the ToxiRAE LEL can be programmed to read automatically, in lower explosive limit (LEL) percentage or the concentration of a specified combustible compound. Multiple alarms-a buzzer, display, vibrations alarm, and flashing LED lights-communicate any alarm condition immediately. Certified to meet IP65 water and dust ingress protection ratings, the ToxiRAE LEL's rugged construction keeps the instrument safe for constant, reliable readings.

The world's smallest wireless volatile organic compounds (VOCs) monitor, the ToxiRAE Pro PID, has introduced the next generation's PID sensor for quick and easy monitoring of over 300 VOCs. Much like the ToxiRAE LEL, the ToxiRAE Pro PID features an impressive onboard library of 190 correction factors, and can be programmed to automatically read concentrations of a specific compound.

The ToxiRAE Pro PID has 2 configuration modes: one for industrial hygienists, and one for personal safety applications. The first mode is specially tailored to meet the requirements of industrial hygienists, providing readings and recordings of even micro events-with accuracy down to .1 parts per million- which can be downloaded for in-depth analysis. Because the device efficiently collects data, an accurate worker exposure analysis is easy to conduct.

When used as a personal safety device, the ToxiRAE Pro PID offers users and control centers real-time, wireless access to instrument readings. Constructed from the same rugged materials as the ToxiRAE Pro and ToxiRAE LEL, the ToxiRAE Pro PID is automatic and reliable, simple to use, easy to maintain, and affordable-making it a natural choice for personal gas detection.

As a family, the ToxiRAE product line successfully merges proven technology with innovation, elevating safety across a range of industries. Ideal for use within oil and gas, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors as well as hazmat, homeland security, and environmental applications, the wireless ToxiRAE family is paving the way for the next generation of gas detectors. "Over the years, wireless will become the future of instrumentation," says Concept Controls' Corporate Vice President, Mike Stephens. "By creating instantaneous alerts for supervising personnel, we're truly developing a safer workplace for everyone." With this commitment to safety at the heart of their business, Concept Controls continues to carry the most reliable and advanced personal protection instrumentation.
