Computerized Camless Coiler offers max speed of 300 fpm.

Press Release Summary:

By entering selected pattern via touchscreen interface, Model 298 produces single pancake, multi-layer, and helical coils. It features 3 driven, single-groove tooling rolls, one of which is a variable position bending roll for shaping coil. Finished coils are deposited onto receiving table, which can then be off-loaded by operator. Unit produces coils with minimum ID of 16 in., maximum OD of 51 in., and maximum length of 100 ft.

Model 298 Camless Coiler

Progressive Ruesch Machine Co., Inc., introduces the Model 298 computerized camless coiler. This new coiler provides unmatched flexibility and accuracy through the operator friendly computer controls. Single pancake, multi-layer, and helical coils can all be produced by simply entering the selected pattern via touchscreen interface.

To operate, a length of tubing is fed manually into the machine. The camless coiler has three driven, single groove tooling rolls, one of which is a variable position bending roll for shaping the coil. The bending roll is normally maintained in a fixed position to create a helical coil but is automatically positioned through computer control to accurately develop a variable coil radii when pancake coils are run. (Note: The coiler's computer control will accept variables such as tube I.D., O.D., and coil dimensions.) The Finished coils are deposited onto an integrally designed receiving table which can then be easily off loaded by an operator.
