Original Press Release:

Maxair.10 Microchassis(TM) Is Versatile Solution For CPCI Applications

LOWELL, MA -- Triple E Corporation's new MaxAir.10 MicroChassis is a versatile turnkey unit designed for CPCI product development in a variety of applications including microcomputing, telecommunications, military and industrial environments. The 7U tabletop or rack-mount microchassis is self-contained, weighing only 19-lb. (unpopulated) for easy incorporation into enclosures.

The MaxAir.10 MicroChassis is constructed of powder coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware for maximum durability in a multitude of harsh environments. A patented extruded aluminum cardguide system maximizes airflow between slot positions and accepts standard 0.062-inch (1.6mm) cards. A red keying block identifies the right hand system controller. Vented top and bottom EMI covers are zinc plated steel. Card edge ESD clips and EMI panel gaskets are BeCu for better conductivity.

Rugged front plug-in power supplies provide CPCI voltages +5, +3.3, +12 and -12. Output power ranges from 200 to 400 watts. Power supply capability is N+1 redundancy with integral or'ing diodes and zero wire current sharing on +5. 3.3 and +12 outputs. PFC input is rated at 90-246Vac and 47-63 Hz. A removable filtered fan tray provides positive pressure airflow from below cards through top EMI cover. The CPCI backplane conforms to PICMG basic spec (2.0 R3.0) and PICMG Hot Swap specification (2.1 R1.0). The backplane has an eight layer controlled impedance stripline construction, 0.125-in. thick, 2-oz copper power and ground planes.

Engineered options to suit specific customer application requirements include 4U chassis. redundant power, 48VDC input PSU, voltage status LED's, power fail monitor, fan fail monitor, EMI filler panels and tabletop kit. A MaxAir.10 7U (8-slot) 52HP 350 watt single PSU MicroChassis is priced starting at $2758. Delivery is six weeks ARO.
