Computer Boards plug into PCI slots.

Press Release Summary:

PCI-DAS6035 and PCI-DAS6034 automate experiments, construct product test stands, or monitor and control production equipment. Both boards handle measurements of up to 16 channels with 16-bit resolution taken at rates to 200,000 samples per second. 8 discrete digital bi-directional I/O lines control relays and solenoids, and monitor switch and contact closures. Each board supports 2 counters. PCI-DAS6035 includes dual analog outputs of 12-bit resolution.

Measurement Computing Introduces New High Performance Board Family

Provides Functionally Equivalent Performance as National Instruments' Products at Lower Prices

MIDDLEBORO, Mass.-February 5, 2002-Measurement Computing today released its new PCI-DAS6035 and PCI-DAS6034 board family. Functionally equivalent in performance to National Instruments' PCI-6035E and PCI-6034E boards. PCI-DAS6035 and PCI-DAS6034 are the latest addition to Measurement Computing's new functionally equivalent product line - all targeted to cost 25 percent less than the National Instruments products.

PCI-DAS6035 and PCI-DAS6034 are accurate and powerful measurement instruments that plug into any PCI slot in a personal computer. Combined with powerful software, each board turns the personal computer into a measurement system that may be used to automate experiments, construct product test stands, monitor and control production equipment or be embedded in products such as airport security systems and jet fighter test simulators.

Both boards handle measurements of up to 16 channels at a resolution of 16 bits, taken at rates to 200,000 samples per second. Eight discrete digital bi-directional I/O lines can control relays and solenoids, and monitor switch and contact closures. Each board supports two counters. PCI-DAS6035 includes dual analog outputs (two) of 12-bits resolution. Each D/A may be updated at rates to 10 kHz per channel.

"Measurement Computing has been dedicated to producing equivalent measurement instrumentation for lower prices since our founding in 1989," said Ben Bailey, CEO of Measurement computing. "This strategy has saved our customers more than sixty million dollars collectively over the span of our company's life. We are proud to introduce these new functionally equivalent products to NI's E series of DAQ boards, and we expect to save many of NI's current customers additional millions over the next decade."

Software programming libraries for professional developers and SoftWIRE graphical programming for occupational developers and non-programming measurement professionals completes a system using a PCI-DAS6035 or PCI-DAS6034. The board ships with Measurement Computing's powerful InstaCal a complete installation, calibration and test software program for data acquisition and control boards.

PCI-DAS6035 ($595.00 U.S., with delivery from stock) and PCI-DAS6034 ($425.00 U.S., with delivery from stock) cost 25 percent less than the National Instruments' PCI-6035E and PCI-6034E, respectively.
