Compressed Air Connector withstands corrosive environments.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for compressed air circuits, RBS/IC leak-tight, 316L stainless steel connector tolerates exposure to high temperatures or contact with acids or aggressive detergents. Anti-whip function ensures hose is unpressurized prior to disconnection, while KES Sealing Kit is manufactured with same materials to ensure optimal seal during installation. Product is available in 06, 08, or 11 mm diameters; nitrile, fluorocarbon, or ethylene-propylene seals; and feed-through and degreasing versions.

Original Press Release:

RBS/IC, the Compressed Air Connector for Corrosive Environments

The Stäubli RBS 100% leaktight stainless steel coupling is for use in internal and external corrosive environments. The benefits? Excellent reliability, less maintenance and low long-term operating costs for compressed air circuits.

Developed specifically for corrosive production environments, the new Stäubli RBS/IC range comes in 100% 316L stainless steel. It is therefore ideal for applications in the agri-food, pharmaceutical, nuclear and marine sectors using compressed air or inert gas connections.

As well as long-term corrosion resistance, RBS connectors exhibit all the advanced technological features of Stäubli Connectors. For assured operator safety, the anti-whip function ensures the hose is unpressurised prior to any disconnection. In terms of accessories, the KES Sealing Kit, made from the same materials as the connector, ensures a perfect seal with the customer's compressed air installation.

With three nominal diameters (06, 08 and 11 mm), three types of seal (Nitrile, Fluorocarbon, Ethylene-Propylene), versions for feed-throughs and a degreasing option, many applications can benefit from the use of RBS connectors. A key feature is their exceptional durability, including under extreme conditions such as exposure to high temperatures or contact with acids or aggressive detergents. Exceptionally high performance combined with long product life means this new Stäubli range offers an excellent quality/price ratio.
