Two New Dual Slide Compound Miter Saws With Built-In Laser for Dead-on Accuracy
August 1, 2005 - LA MIRADA, CALIF. - Makita U.S.A., Inc. has announced the launch of two new 10" and 12" dual slide compound miter saws with built-in laser precision and micro fine adjustments for dead-on accuracy. An independent switch allows the laser to be seen with or without the blade rotating.
These new miter saws, models LS1013L and LS1214L, feature dual rails with dual steel linear ball bearings for a smooth, "dead-on" accurate cut that never needs adjusting. Equipped with dynamically balanced, direct drive motors (13 and 15 AMP) with dual ball bearings that never slip or bog down like belt driven units. Pure power under load is guaranteed without reducing RPM.
The LS1013L and LS1214L feature a precisely aligned slide mechanism and blade system that minimizes deflection and tow for smooth burn-free cuts. Both models have precision bevel cutting up to 45° left and right in addition to a single piece, precision-machined aluminum base that remains flat and true and never needs alignment. These new miter saws have a soft start feature for smooth start-ups and a pivoting fence that supports materials for miter cuts, yet easily pivots out of the way for bevel or compound cutting.
