Newton, Massachusetts, December 26, 2002 - A new internal/external comparator gauge - the Checkmatic - has been introduced by Fred V. Fowler Company. The versatile Checkmatic, manufactured by Britain's Bowers metrology group, was designed to provide highly accurate measurements for internal/external diameters, center axis distances, thread rolls and internal/exterior grooves. In addition, it is useful for determining precise bearing face distance, concentricity, hole position and center distance, internal recess diameters, internal and external splines, slot and undercut depth, and in many other applications.
