Brockton, Mass. - Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions, an innovative leader in electronic packaging and system expansion solutions, announces its enhanced 500 Series of CompactPCI/VME enclosures for industrial and telecom computing systems. These durable and versatile enclosures are engineered as a turnkey system incorporating a backplane, power and cooling systems, allowing end-users to completely and inexpensively customize their computing system.

Designed for development, testing and measurement purposes within the embedded telecommunications and industrial markets, the 500 Series from Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions is ideal for applications where traditional computers do not stack up. The 500 Series enclosures feature the redundancy of N+1 hot-swap power supplies, so there's no need to shut the power down to make adjustments to the system. The easily accessible open architecture of the 500 Series makes serviceability and changeability a quick and easy process, significantly reducing the mean-time-to-repair in case of a problem.

The 500 Series includes four configurable models (505, 535, 545, and 555), each designed to meet VITA and PICMG backplane specifications. All versions are configured with front and rear ground studs and ESD jacks. Enclosure series range from 200W-1200W with N+1 redundancy available in the high power 555 series enclosure. All are available in AC or DC power inputs. The 500 Series' superior front-pluggable cooling scheme provide two to six fans, depending on the power and processing demands of each model and application.

Available through Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions' unique 'Quick-Turn' program, the 500 Series can be delivered within two weeks of order. The 500 Series provides the versatility for multiple plug-in peripheral options and can be configured as a stand-alone benchtop unit or integrated into a cabinet as a rackmount system.
