Press Release Summary:
Using monolithic humidity/temperature sensor element, series EE381 transmitter measures moisture content in oil in range of 0-1 aw at temperatures from -40 to 80°C. Sensing head is pressure tight up to 1,450 psi and can be mounted either with G½ in. ISO or ½ in. NPT thread, while rugged, compact metal housing is rotatable over 360°. Applications include monitoring of transformer oil, hydraulic oil, motor oil of ship engines and lubrication oil of bearings.
Original Press Release:
Compact Transmitter for Moisture in Oil Measurement
EE381 from E+E Elektronik GmbH
The NEW Series EE381 transmitter from E+E Elektronik enables precise measurement of moisture content in oil in the range 0...1 aw at temperatures from -40...80°C (-40...176°F).
The specifically for that application designed monolithic humidity / temperature sensor element provides outstanding accuracy and very good long-term stability. Fast response time and high resistance against chemical contamination are the main features of this sensor element HMC01, developed in thin film technology by E+E Elektronik.
Measured variables are water activity aw [0...1], temperature T [°C or °F] and the calculated water content x [ppm].
The EE381 can be adjusted for measurement of non-mineral oils by entering the particular oil-specific parameters.
The sensing head is pressure tight up 100 bar (1450 psi) and can be mounted either with a G½" ISO or a ½" NPT thread.
The rugged, compact metal housing of Series EE381 is rotatable over the full 360 degrees, allowing positioning for excellent readability of the optional dual-line display and easy accessibility of the robust industrial electrical connector - even in difficult mounting situations.
Both analogue outputs are freely scalable and configurable. It is possible to have the transmitter equipped with switching outputs. Status indicators provide easy on-site diagnostics.
Typical applications are monitoring of transformer oil, hydraulic oil, motor oil of ship engines and lubrication oil of bearings.
