Compact Low Noise Amplifier offers 1.9 dB noise figure.

Press Release Summary:

Supplied in RoHs-compliant, 3 x 3 mm plastic SMT package, CMD185P3 has low noise figure of 1.9 dB and associated gain of +15 dB across 4–8 GHz bandwidth. LNA requires single positive supply of +4.0 V @ 75 mA and has output 1 dB compression point at +15 dBm. Suited for converter chains in communications systems where small size and low DC power consumption are required, product is 50Ã‚Â Ω matched on input and output ports. This eliminates need for external DC blocks and matching components.

Original Press Release:

4 to 8 GHz Low Noise Amplifier Offers 1.9 dB Noise Figure

Westford, MA – Custom MMIC, (www.CustomMMIC.com), a developer of performance-driven monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), has added a new low noise amplifier, the CMD185P3, to its expanding line of standard amplifier products.

The CMD185P3 has a low noise figure of 1.9 dB and associated gain of +15 dB across the 4 to 8 GHz bandwidth, while only requiring a single positive supply voltage (+4.0 V @ 75 mA). With an output 1dB compression point at +15 dBm, the CMD185P3 is ideal for converter chains in communications systems where small size and low DC power consumption are required.

The CMD185P3 is housed in a Pb-free, RoHs compliant, 3 x 3 mm plastic surface-mount package and is 50 ohm matched on the input and output ports, thus eliminating the need for external DC blocks and matching components.
