A New Affordable Slim Line Gearbox Design; Same Performance In a Smaller Size

Lin Engineering is pleased to release the new affordable Slim Line Planetary Gearbox.  This innovative gearbox was designed with space savings in mind in order to reduce the standard overall length of the typical stepper motor gearbox combo.



The new Slim Line Planetary Gearbox length is only .55" whereas the average planetary gearbox is roughly 2.875" in length.  This new design reduces the total length by 35% which makes it a perfect option for those applications that need space efficiency, more torque, and have flexibility with backlash and accuracy. While most planetary gearboxes can often be expensive, the new Slim Line Planetary Gearbox can be up to 40% cheaper than standard gearboxes.



The Slim Line Planetary Gearbox is available in a 5:1 ratio and has a continuous torque rating of 141 oz-in (1Nm). The gearbox shaft is a standard 5mm OD and can be mounted to any NEMA 17 motor, but is also available in a combo that consists of the Lin Engineering Xtreme Torque Series Motors with the Slim Line Gearbox in 3 different stack lengths.
