Brookfield, WI (July, 2002) - Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduces the new 5-Pack 18-Volt Cordless Combination Kit featuring the new revolutionary Cordless Sawzall-
the Hatchet(TM) and the Job Site Radio. The combination kit (model 6514-25) also includes the 6-1/2" Circular Saw (model 6310-20), 1/2" T-Handle Driver/Drill (model 0522-20) and professional Work Light.
The Combo Kit comes standard with a soft-sided Contractor Bag featuring a Sawzall blade pouch, a Circular Saw blade pouch (fits up to 7-1/4" blades) for convenient blade storage, areas for the Hatchet, circular saw, driver/drill, worklight, charger and an extra battery; and plenty of pockets for other job-site accessories. The kit includes two 2.4 Amp-Hr 18-Volt batteries and charger.
The Hatchet, with its unique 6-position pivoting handle, has redefined the reciprocating saw. When in the right-angle position, the Hatchet, at less than 13 inches, allows users to get into tight spaces such as in between wall studs or underneath a countertop. The Hatchet is the only cordless reciprocating saw on the market with orbital action, which lets it aggressively cut through wood. The tool can also be set to straight recip mode for superior metal cutting. It features a 3/4" blade stroke and 0-2700 spm with a variable-speed trigger.
The Job Site Radio is designed with high performance in mind and packs one mean audio wallop. Powered by a two-way Rockford Fosgate® sound system with a 3-stage Punch EQ bass boost, the Job Site Radio provides both dominating audio energy and clarity.
Equipped with a high-end digital tuner and a flexible, 360-degree directional antenna, the Job Site Radio provides crystal clear reception, even in remote areas. The Radio is made with an impact resistant shell, steel handle and a blow-molded base, all helping to protect the radio at the job site, campsite, workshop or any other tough environment. The Job Site Radio can withstand an 8-foot drop to concrete. It operates on 120V AC power or 12V, 14.4V and 18V Milwaukee Power Plus batteries and has an auxiliary stereo input jack for CD, MP3 or most other audio devices.
The 18-Volt Cordless 6-1/2" Circular Saw operates on a 2.4 amp-hour battery, providing more 2x4 cuts per battery charge than any other cordless circular saw. On a single charge, Milwaukee's 18-Volt Cordless Circular Saw can cut up to 145 2x4s or 106-feet of 5/8" OSB material. The tool is ideal for rough cutting 2x material and 4x8 sheets, and trimming wood doors and cedar siding.
The 18-Volt Driver/Drill features a soft-grip T-handle design for optimum tool balance and comfort. The tool offers a high stall torque (400 in. lbs.), providing faster drilling and
fastening. The All-Metal Grip-Lok(TM) keyless chuck is designed to withstand jobsite misuse and abuse, and its lightly knurled structure is comfortable to grip. The All-Metal chuck features a thick, clear-coat finish to prevent rusting. Additional features include a variable speed switch with electric brake; 20-position clutch; and two speed ranges, 0-450 and 0-1,500 RPM. The T-Handle Driver/Drill is ideal for drilling, driving decking screws and most other general drilling and fastening.
The Work Light uses an 18-Volt Power-Plus Battery and a Xenon bulb that produces extremely bright light to help illuminate almost all work environments. It also features a 90-degree pivoting head and operates continuously for up to three hours.
