Comair Rotron Introduces Even More Performance and Versatility
Comair Rotron is proud to introduce exciting new performance and air movers to our product line: The higher performance Major and Patriot tube axial fans as well as the Mixtus 7.9" E series mixed flow fan. All offer terrific performance and can be use in any number of applications.
The Major and Patriot DC (model prefix JQ and PQ) 172mm fans are two of Comair Rotron's most popular product families. Tried and tested, these products have proven themselves time and again in the marketplace. They now offer even more performance and capability with the U Speed. Utilizing design improvements to the motor windings they have become both higher performing and more efficient. The Major and Patriot can now deliver 330 CFM with a shutoff pressure of 1.4 (in/H2O), in both 24V and 48 V. Further, advances in board level technology also allow these fans to be very flexible; offering expanded standard and optional feature sets including soft start, locked rotor protection, PWM, voltage speed control, and thermal speed control.
The Mixtus 7.9 E series (model prefix MFSE) 200 mm mixed flow fan takes Comair Rotron to the next step in the evolution of the brushless DC motor line, providing the highest obtained motor efficiency to date. Combining this efficiency with mixed flow technology produces a truly unique air mover. Traditional Tube axial fans are designed for high airflow / low pressure applications. The conical shaped blade and housing of the Mixtus, pressurizes airflow to allow significantly increased shut off pressures than found in traditional tube axial products. This gives the Mixtus 7.9 the versatility to operate with either reduced power consumption or increased airflow and pressure capability. Illustrating this efficiency the standard Mixtus 7.9 E series is able to move air at a rate of up to 515 CFM with a shutoff pressure of 2.7 (in/H2O). While achieving this performance the Mixtus only needs 96 watts of power. With dimensions of only 200 x 70 mm (7.9" x 2.75") it would be hard to find a tube axial product able to achieve this level of performance.
