Column Amplifier suits electronic or air gaging tools.

Press Release Summary:

Trendsetter II digital column readout can be used in shop-floor bench-top applications or semi-automatic gaging systems. Inch or metric results are displayed on tri-color LED bargraph as deviation from nominal size in one of 8 scale ranges. Good, oversize, and undersize conditions are instantly recognized by either green, red, or yellow bar colors. RS-232 output allows measurement data to be downloaded for storage or further analysis. Tolerances are 0.0002-0.05 in. or 0.005-1.0 mm.

Original Press Release:

New "Trendsetter II" Digital Column Amplifier for Air or Electronic Gaging

(Farmington, CT - June 2003) The new Trendsetter II digital column readout from Edmunds Gages streamlines the features from an earlier generation analog model, and provides new features and benefits to the user. In addition to now being a digital unit, the column can be used with electronic or air gaging tools in shop-floor bench top applications or engineered into semi-automatic gaging systems. Inch or metric results are displayed on a new tri-color LED bargraph as a deviation from nominal size in any one of eight scale ranges. Good, oversize, and undersize conditions are instantly recognized by either green, red, or yellow bar colors. With its RS-232 output, measurement data can be downloaded to a variety of media for storage or further analysis.

Typical dimensions that can be measured with Trendsetter II include diameters, width, length, height, and thickness. Users can also measure geometric forms such as T.I.R., parallelism, roundness, tapers, and max or min peaks. The Trendsetter II comes equipped with an analog port to buss signals over I/O matrix lines. This provides the ability to connect multiple units together for measuring multiple dimensional features, such as the clearance between two mating parts.

With eight selectable full scale values, the Trendsetter II offers the flexibility to measure parts with a wide range of tolerances. The inch full scales range from 0.0002" to 0.05". The metric full scales range from 0.005 mm to 1.0 mm.

According to the company, Trendsetter II is easy to setup using just six keys on the front panel. Measurement results can be transferred from the unit to a PC, PDA, or printer.
