ColorGATE RIP Software Simplifies Digital Cutting

Perfect Support for the innovative Zünd Cut Center

Efficient contour cutting, the precise finishing of POP displays right on up to industrial applications: The module Print and Cut PCM for Productionserver 6, the universal production RIP, is software developer ColorGATE's technically advanced solution for cutting, shaping and finishing such materials as wood, plastic, leather and textiles. The PCM is, for example, also able to separate the cutting paths from the printing data.

Available starting immediately: Zünd Cut Center driver from ColorGATE

Fully developed Color Management and the perfect, automated preparation of even the most demanding jobs with just one solution: the Zünd Cut Center-driver for the ideal interaction of the powerful ColorGATE RIP software with the Zünd Cut Center to drive the G3 cutter of the Swiss manufacturer is now available, starting immediately. "The development of the new ZCC driver once more reflects our competence as one of the world's leading software suppliers for complex production applications in the field of digital printing," says ColorGATE Managing Director Thomas Kirschner. "The driver, which was developed in close cooperation with Zünd, meets all the extensive requirements in the catalog of specifications - from the generation and printing of barcodes and the preview function for easy job identification or setting synchronization marks for the automatic position identification and alignment in the final finishing process - and helps to maximize the productivity of the latest generation of multifunctional, digital cutting systems."

Other highlights include creating multicopy jobs directly in Productionserver 6, whereby the ColorGATE RIP automatically duplicates the cutting paths and also provides the option of already determining the tool or the combination of tools and tool heads to cut the job in the RIP environment so that perforation and cutting through can be done in one operation. And of course the ColorGATE container technology also supports the nesting functions of the Zünd Cut Center to guarantee the optimum use of valuable raw materials.

Digital cutting has never been so easy

Strate Druck GmbH & Co KG is one of the best examples. To improve the company's productivity, Strate Druck opted for the Zünd Cut Center software package. "The easy-to-use Zünd Cut Center in combination with the ColorGATE RIP software has significantly reduced the time we spend on our prepress and job preparation. As a result, we can now accept more jobs and complete them more quickly. The resources and costs we save in the process can then be invested specifically in other parts of the company," says Jan Strate.

Lars Bendixen, Sign & Graphics Product Manager at Zünd Systemtechnik AG comments: "Thanks to our cooperation with leading RIP manufacturers, we are taking the Zünd Cut Center to the next level. ColorGATE has proven to be a competent partner in this respect and we are very happy about this cooperation."
