Original Press Release:

New VisionProbe(TM) Withstands Temperatures to 1500 degrees F

The US-1490 HiTempProbe(TM) is a full color camera that can visually inspect for flaws in high temperature environments. LED lights are inset next to the camera lens for inspecting in total darkness. The single chip 1/3" format CMOS video camera has a 3.6 mm lens with 310 lines of resolution.

Thirty-second tests at 1500 degrees F showed no failure to either the camera, LED's, chamber or electrical connections. Three-minute tests showed no failures up to 900 degrees F. The thin wall hardened aluminum tube has six sections, which can be extended individually. With a quick twist the unique telescoping design can increase in length from 30 inches to 126 inches. A 1.70" working diameter allows the probe to be inserted into small diameter spaces.

The US-1490 HiTempProbe(TM) will work with all NTSC video systems or it can receive its vision and power from a complementary hybrid instrument, the US-454 EddyView(TM) . This instrument includes video, strip chart and eddy current in one portable case. When attached to the US-454 EddyView(TM), the camera will display crystal-clear, full color video on a 6.5" diagonal LCD flat panel screen.

Applications include power generation, petrochemical processing, pulp & paper and high temperature manufacturing.
